A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Department care, based in Milledgeville, GA. This role supports a busy 22-bed emergency unit with surge capacity, serving an average daily census of 85 patients. It offers a dynamic environment managing a variety of cases including chest pain, strokes, diabetes, abdominal issues, motor vehicle collisions, hypertension, and mental health emergencies. Key Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care across diverse patient conditions. • Manage critical drip infusions such as Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, and Levophed. • Execute phlebotomy and IV/VAT duties including PICC line coverage. • Utilize EPIC electronic medical records, monitor telemetry via specialized equipment, and operate advanced vital sign and infusion devices. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists available 24/7. • Participate in weekend rotations (5-6 shifts every 6-week schedule) and holiday coverage with a 12-hour shift pattern (7A-7P or 7P-7A). Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Active Georgia RN licensure. • Minimum of 2 years experience in an Emergency Department. • Certification in BLS, ACLS, and Basic Cardiac Rhythm required; PALS and TNCC preferred. • National Emergency Nursing certification is advantageous but not mandatory. • Comfort with fast-paced unit culture and good teamwork ethos.
