Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Volcano, HI in Mauna Loa Estates, HI

An opportunity is available for a registered nurse with emergency room expertise to provide critical care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This 15-week contract role is situated in a 28-bed ER that includes trauma bays, behavioral health rooms, and cardiac monitor stations, demanding quick decision-making and teamwork to ensure exceptional patient care.

Location

Situated in Volcano, HI, this role offers the chance to work against the stunning backdrop of Hawaiis natural beauty. Volcano is known for its lush landscapes, volcanic activity, and welcoming community, providing an enriching living and working experience.

Schedule
• Three 12-hour day shifts per week (36 hours total)
• No guaranteed hours beyond scheduled shifts

Qualifications & Desired Experience
• Current RN license in the State of Hawaii (must be obtained by assignment start if not already held)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Preferred certifications (not required): Procedural Sedation, TMCC, EMPC

Responsibilities
• Deliver comprehensive emergency care in trauma, cardiac, and behavioral health cases
• Function effectively within a fast-paced, high-turnover department
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies

Additional Requirements
• Arrive by the Thursday preceding the start date for employee health appointment on Friday
• Travelers without active Hawaii licensure must apply immediately upon offer acceptance
