Position Summary
The RN provides high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing care to the Emergency/Trauma patient. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on need of the patient and family members. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, IQ, Infection control, with the goal being to discharge the patient from the ED with an optimum level of care provided.
• EDUCATION
• Minimum: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.
• EXPERIENCE
• Minimum: One (1) year experience in a Med/Surg area or
• Preferred: Two (2) years' experience in an Emergency Room setting
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION
• Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification
• PALS are required within one year of employment.
• Hazmat preferred, but not required
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required within six months of employment.
• TNCC is required within 18 months of employment in the position.
• ENPC is strongly encouraged.
• CEN preferred, but not required
