Position Overview: As a new graduate nurse licensed from an accredited program, you will engage in the SSM Health New Graduate Nurse Residency Program. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver comprehensive nursing care tailored to the diverse medical conditions of our patients. Key Responsibilities: • Perform specialized nursing tasks to meet the needs of our patient population. • Conduct thorough patient assessments, focusing on their physical, psychological, and cultural needs. • Develop and implement effective patient and family education plans, utilizing appropriate resources. • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of care and physician orders following established guidelines. • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care. • Stay updated with competencies and continuing education requirements. • Apply evidence-based practices in your nursing responsibilities, adapting care to different age groups and clinical needs. • Maintain a vigilant and safe work environment. • Additional duties as assigned to support team functions. Qualifications: • Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent education. • No previous experience required; new graduates are welcome! Physical Requirements: • Excellent communication skills through verbal interactions. • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. • Occasional lifting of 25-50 lbs, including patient assistance. • Frequent use of vision and hearing to monitor patient conditions. Licensure and Certifications: • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association. • Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in your state of practice, or a Compact State RN license. Work Schedule: This position requires a night shift and is scheduled for 36 hours per week.
