At St. Vincent's Behavioral Health Center in Westport, we operate a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility dedicated to the care of children, adolescents, and adults facing mental health challenges along with dual diagnosis substance use issues. Being integrated within the Hartford HealthCare network, we are proud to be a leading provider of mental health services across multiple Connecticut locations.

Job Summary:

As a Graduate Nurse, you will have the opportunity to practice temporarily while awaiting your licensing exam results, with a limit of 90 days post-graduation. This privilege ends automatically upon notification of failure on the licensure exam or the lapse of the 90-day period without obtaining the required license.

Your responsibilities include delivering holistic, quality, and cost-effective nursing care to patients and their families within a designated area of practice, paying close attention to the care episode. You will apply the nursing process within our organization's Framework for Professional Practice and operate under the guidance of a licensed Registered Nurse, reporting to the Unit Manager.

Qualifications:
• Graduated from an accredited Nursing program—minimum Associate degree required, Bachelor’s preferred. Associate degree graduates must obtain a BSN within 6 years of hire.
• Application to sit for the CT RN license must be completed, and licensing obtained within 90 calendar days of graduation.
• Proven ability to develop, deliver, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
