Job Summary and Key Responsibilities
The HCA Nurse Residency Program at Mission Hospital provides you with critical tools for success in today’s healthcare landscape. As a paid program, we support your journey with hands-on experiences that include:
• Advanced training in your specialty.
• Monthly educational sessions.
• Preceptorship with an experienced facility nurse.
• Skills assessment through practical simulations.

As an RN Resident, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care according to department standards. Working closely with medical providers and care teams, you will provide individualized and compassionate support for patients.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Assessing patient conditions during admission and shifts, identifying any changes promptly.
• Performing procedures and documenting care thoroughly in patient records.
• Administering medications and monitoring patients for responses.
• Providing exceptional patient care by anticipating needs and responding to requests.
• Teaching patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and next steps.
Qualifications:
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within the first year.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Must have a Registered Nurse License or be a Graduate Nurse in the state.
• No prior experience is necessary; we welcome new graduates!
• Some traveling may be needed for training purposes.
