Job Summary and Qualifications
The HCA Nurse Residency Program equips you with essential tools to thrive in a hospital environment. This paid program supports your transition from classroom to clinical practice through:
• Advanced clinical training in a specialized area.
• Monthly educational sessions.
• Preceptorship training with an experienced nurse.
• Hands-on simulations for skill assessment.
• Mentorship from seasoned nurse leaders.
• Teamwork on an evidence-based practice project.
The RN Resident will provide high-quality, patient-centered care according to departmental requirements and professional standards. Collaborating with healthcare providers, the RN Resident will offer comprehensive, compassionate care while advocating for patients and their families.
In this role, you will:
• Assess patient conditions during admission and shifts, reporting any changes.
• Perform procedures and document care promptly in patient medical records.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for therapeutic responses.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, anticipating and resolving them proactively.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions and treatment options.
Qualifications include:
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse status in the State.
• No prior experience required.
• Willingness to travel for training may be necessary.
