EP Nurse | Smyrna, Delaware in Smyrna, DE

This position calls for a skilled Registered Nurse with specialized experience in cardiovascular and electrophysiology care. The role is centered around providing professional nursing care in a demanding Cath Lab environment, supporting a variety of diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, and interventional neurology procedures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ICU, CVICU, or IMC, with proven capability to independently manage and assist in complex procedures. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare patients and procedure areas for safe, efficient care delivery. • Review charts, lab results, and obtain appropriate consents prior to procedures. • Monitor patients cardiovascular and electrophysiology status before, during, and after procedures. • Participate actively in facility safety protocols including time-outs and sedation administration. • Document care and procedures accurately and promptly using electronic systems. • Circulate independently during procedures within the Cardiovascular and EP labs. • Maintain a therapeutic environment attentive to comfort and privacy. • Assist in training and mentoring new staff members. • Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain certifications. Qualifications: • Nursing degree (Associate or Bachelors Degree) from an accredited program; Bachelors preferred. • Registered Nurse licensure. • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. • Experience in ICU, CVICU, IMC or Cath Lab environments is required. • Cardiovascular and Electrophysiology lab experience highly preferred. Schedule & Job Details: • Full-time, 80 hours. • Shift hours variable; candidate must be flexible with days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. • Contract position located at a hospital in Smyrna, Delaware.
