An acute care hospital in Big Lake, AK is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with Emergency Room expertise to fill a contract position. This role focuses on providing culturally sensitive, high-quality care to a diverse and complex patient population, including Alaska Native individuals with intricate social histories. The position involves working night shifts—three 12-hour shifts per week from 7 PM to 7 AM—with a guaranteed full-time schedule of up to 40 hours. The ER nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:4 while delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced, acute setting. This opportunity welcomes nurses with at least two years of ER experience; first-time ER nurses are also considered.
