A challenging opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room care at a small yet dynamic ER facility located in Hephzibah, GA. This contract position involves working with a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics in a fast-paced environment designed to provide critical care efficiently. You will play a vital role in patient assessment, treatment, and coordination of care, utilizing your expertise, certifications, and clinical judgment to improve patient outcomes. Qualifications / Desired Experience: • At least 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience (no first-time emergency nurses) • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH required • Proficient with Epic electronic medical record system (required), Pyxis, SBAR communication, and Spacelabs monitoring • Comfortable managing a 14-bed ER with a patient ratio of 1:4 • Ability to adapt to a small ER setting with ambulance on site 24/7 • Willingness to work night shifts (3 twelve-hour shifts, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM) • Flexibility to work every other weekend and major holidays as assigned Responsibilities / Duties: • Provide prompt emergency care and interventions to critically ill or injured patients • Collaborate with ambulance teams and coordinate patient transfers to larger facilities when needed • Conduct virtual wound care management; no IV team present on-site • Participate in orientation partially at nearby main hospital 3 miles away • Adhere to strict compliance and documentation standards • Follow established protocols for patient safety and effective communication Location Insight: Hephzibah, Georgia offers a suburban atmosphere just minutes from a larger metropolitan area, blending small-community charm with convenient access to advanced healthcare resources.
