Deliver critical care in a dynamic Emergency Department setting requiring compassion and clinical expertise. This contract position is based in Moundville, AL, offering dedicated professionals the chance to work in a state-designated Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center with a robust ED team. Key Responsibilities: • Provide emergency nursing care to patients of all ages across various acute conditions. • Respond efficiently to trauma and stroke emergencies in a fast-paced environment. • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff to deliver comprehensive care. • Float to different units and hospitals as needed to support patient care demands. • Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:1 for critical patients to 1:3-4 for other cases. • Participate in holiday shifts on an alternating schedule. Qualifications and Experience: • Associate Degree in Nursing required. • Current Registered Nurse license in Alabama (no temporary licenses accepted) or Compact license. • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience; 18 months considered with at least 1 year in emergency nursing under the highest professional license. • Certifications required: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, SECURE on site, and NIHOR RED CROSS. • Proven ability to work effectively in a high-acuity emergency setting. Schedule: • Flexible scheduling options with 36 or 48 hours per week. • Holiday work required every other holiday.
