A registered nurse with emergency room experience is needed for a contract opportunity in Volcano, HI. This role involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced emergency department within a 28-bed unit, including trauma, behavioral health, and cardiac monitored rooms. The position requires Hawaii licensure by the start date and adherence to a specific onboarding schedule. Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care in a busy emergency room environment, including trauma and behavioral health cases • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure fast and effective patient turnover • Monitor cardiac patients in a monitored setting, responding swiftly to changes in condition • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records • Participate in orientation and attend required employee health appointments prior to starting Qualifications: • Current Registered Nurse license in Hawaii by the first day of the assignment • Proven experience in an emergency room setting, comfortable managing trauma and cardiac patients • Ability to work night shifts, including three 12-hour shifts per week after orientation • Strong teamwork and communication skills essential for fast-paced care delivery Schedule: • Night shifts: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours weekly) following orientation • First week includes orientation and required health appointments This is a 15-week contract role. Candidates must be available to arrive the Thursday before the start date to complete mandatory employee health appointments on Friday.
