Registered Nurse - Part-Time Per Diem Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse who will be responsible for providing direct patient care and employee medical services in alignment with state EMS protocols. This role also supports coverage for open nurse positions in the Coachella and Stagecoach areas as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete and submit electronic patient care records, conduct daily base checks, and manage narcotics inventory.
• Deliver pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support from initial contact until handover to a medical facility, maintaining comprehensive documentation.
• Participate in ongoing clinical experiences to maintain skills and knowledge.
• Document required licensure, certifications, continuing education, and safety training in the Employee Education Manual.
• Utilize and maintain all equipment used in emergency programs efficiently.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, and the community.
• Assist in filling vacant shifts as required by the Regional Director.
• Engage in departmental activities, projects, and EMS committees actively.
• Attend and participate in meetings, adhering to established guidelines.
• Lead or be involved in projects as assigned.
• Mentor and orient new employees.
• Take part in continuing education programs regularly.
• Lead training sessions as directed by the CES Manager.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
• Current RN licensure in California.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required. Trauma certification is expected within the first 6 months.
• Preferred advanced certifications (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) are to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• At least three years of experience in emergency or critical care preferred.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, and ITLS/PHTLS are advantageous.
• Completion of ICS courses (ICS 100, ICS 200, and ICS 700) is beneficial.
• Able to read and analyze medical reports and legal documentation.
• Capable of addressing inquiries from customers and regulatory agencies professionally.
• Proficient in basic algebra and geometry as it applies to patient care.
