Job Summary
Riceland Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan. The FNP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic health conditions while promoting health maintenance and disease prevention. This role involves working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses across all age groups.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans.
• Prescribe medications and therapies within the scope of practice and regulatory guidelines.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
• Provide preventive care services, including health screenings, immunizations, and wellness counseling.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies and standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Qualifications
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current and unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in the State of Texas.
• National FNP certification (ANCC or AANP).
• Active DEA license or eligibility to obtain.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
Experience
• Minimum of 2–4 years of clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner preferred.
• Experience in primary care, family practice, or outpatient clinical settings.
• New graduates with strong clinical training may be considered.
