Job Summary The Nursing Assistant (NA) is a vital caregiver providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance in our long-term care facility. Under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), you will: • Deliver age-appropriate care related to residents' physical and psychological needs according to the care plan. • Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, vital sign checks, and providing psychosocial support. • Help residents with mobility, transferring, and exercises using proper techniques and equipment. • Facilitate a positive dining experience by assisting with meals and ensuring hydration. • Collaborate with nursing staff; document resident interactions and report changes in conditions to the charge nurse. • Provide housekeeping and laundry services to maintain a clean and safe living environment. • Encourage participation in wellness and recreational programs, assisting with documentation as necessary. Qualifications • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory. • Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical/nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred. • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or must be enrolled in a training program to obtain certification within four months of hire. • Complete yearly competency testing and maintain a record of continuing education, with a minimum of 12 hours required annually. • For applicable states, be certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
