Salary Range: $34.00 - $51.00
Job Summary
The MDS Nurse plays a crucial role by using independent judgment to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate nursing activities in alignment with our resident care goals. Key responsibilities include:
• Evaluating care provided to each resident and ensuring care plans are current.
• Leading the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process and assisting in the assessment of potential admissions.
• Conducting resident assessments upon admission, quarterly, and annually.
• Collaborating with residents, family members, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of life for each resident.
• If functioning on the floor, providing individualized nursing care through the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Serving as a charge nurse, delegating tasks to appropriate personnel, and providing support to ensure safe, reliable care.
The RN will work within the defined scopes and standards of nursing practice, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and the Code of Ethics for Nurses.
Qualifications
We seek candidates who have:
• A Graduate degree from a National League of Nursing (NLN) or American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) accredited nursing program; a Bachelor's Degree in nursing is preferred.
• A minimum of one year of experience working as a licensed nurse, preferably with the senior population.
• A current, unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing or multistate licensure.
• Certifications such as the Resident Assessment Coordinator-Certified (RAC-CT) are advantageous.
• Continuous education in nursing practices and involvement with a professional nursing organization is preferred.
