About the Role: As a Pre-Admit Testing Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care prior to anesthesia. This position is ideal for a compassionate and skilled nurse looking to make a difference in a collaborative healthcare setting. Essential Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive patient histories through observation and communication. • Develop individualized care plans by identifying patient needs and establishing attainable outcomes. • Collaborate effectively with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure timely and coordinated patient care. • Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families, addressing their psychosocial needs. • Adhere to protocols and maintain accurate documentation of patient data. • Maintain a therapeutic environment for patients and families. • Assist in the training and development of new staff. • Uphold professionalism by keeping work areas tidy and organized. Qualifications: • A nursing diploma or degree from an accredited institution. • Current licensing as a Registered Nurse in Tennessee. • Minimum of one year of experience in medical/surgical nursing. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. • Physical capability to assist patients and stand for extended periods.
