Job Summary As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate, resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. Your responsibilities will include: • Delivering daily living assistance and nursing care to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). • Providing support with activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing, while ensuring age-appropriate care. • Assisting residents with mobility and exercises, using correct techniques and equipment. • Participating in meal preparation and providing dining support to create a positive experience. • Documenting resident care, behaviors, and interactions, and keeping the nursing team informed of any changes. • Collecting vital signs and non-invasive body fluid specimens as needed. • Maintaining a clean and safe living environment through housekeeping and laundry services. • Encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs. Qualifications • High school diploma or GED preferred. • Minimum age of 16; prior experience in long-term care is a plus. • Must obtain CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing or enroll in a training program to gain certification within four months. • Completion of yearly competency testing and 12 hours of continuing education annually is required. • If applicable, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry. • Valid driver's license may be required depending on facility responsibilities.
