Position Overview
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a vital role in assisting the Registered Nurse with the care plan for a group of patients. In this technical position, you will deliver quality patient care while embodying our Mission, Vision, and Values.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in nursing assessments by gathering, reporting, and documenting both objective and subjective data.
• Provide safe, direct patient care.
• Continuously evaluate and help adjust the care plan as needed.
• Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery in your assigned area.
Qualifications
• Technical Degree or Diploma in Nursing - LPN
Experience
• No prior work experience required.
Licensure and Certifications
• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association
• Licensed Practical Nurse - Arkansas
• Licensed Practical Nurse - Mississippi
• Licensed Practical Nurse - Tennessee
Supervision
• This position does not have supervisory or lead responsibilities.
Physical Requirements
• Responsibilities may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
• Must possess good balance and coordination.
• Physical demands involve medium work – exerting up to 50 lbs. occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. frequently.
• Close visual acuity is required for patient assessments and data analysis.
• Frequent direct patient contact and potential exposure to bodily fluids and hazardous materials.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations is essential.
