Full Time Office R.N. Pay: From $32.52 per hour Midwest Dermatology is offering an exciting opportunity to work in an office setting at a fast paced, full-service dermatology clinic. We are looking for an R.N. or L.P.N. full time Monday through Friday. Work with four physicians specializing in general dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, laser treatment and skin cancer surgery. We are looking for candidates with good communication skills who are interested in duties that includes general office nursing and assisting in office based procedures. Our office nurse position provides the highest level of work/life harmony with hours Monday-Friday, eight hour work day with no call shifts, nights or weekends. Midwest Dermatology is a private physician-owned practice with four board certified dermatologists. We have office locations in midtown and west Omaha, as well as Papillion and Bellevue. This position may involve travel to any of these locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Rooms patients and collects new and/or reviews previously collected patient health information. Identifies relevant and unique patient needs. Prepares patients for physician encounter including documentation of chief complaint and medical history. • Works directly with providers to implement a plan of care including prepping and assisting for minor skin procedures such as biopsies and excisions, laser treatment, IM and IL injections, blood draws, and assisting in office based surgical and aesthetic procedures. • Provides education to the patient and family in a manner that is easily understood by the patient. Maintains dermatology specific knowledge regarding disease states, treatments, tests and medications. • Ensures that all tasks are addressed in a timely manner. Able to prioritize urgent tasks appropriately. • Documents all patient interactions in the EMR system in a timely and accurate manner and verifies that all documentation is complete, concise and accurately reflects the complete situation and the care that was given. • Participates in staff meetings. Assists in developing ways to meet department goals in a more effective and efficient manner and is an active part of the implementation of new processes and procedures. • Performs other tasks and projects as assigned by the management team. • Schedules vary from week to week.
