Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Medical-Surgical unit. This role involves providing direct, individualized nursing care to patients with a variety of cardiovascular conditions, including heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac surgery care. The RN will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Job Responsibilities:
• Perform patient assessments upon admission and during each scheduled shift; identify and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for therapeutic and adverse responses
• Carry out physician-ordered procedures and document all care activities accurately and promptly
• Provide excellent patient care by anticipating and responding to patient needs
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on diagnosis, treatment, medications, and follow-up care
• Ensure that all communication and documentation meets hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications:
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Active RN license (or ability to obtain in Florida)
• Recent acute care RN experience required (Med-Surg experience not mandatory):
• Must be within the last 3 years OR
• Within the last 5 years if the candidate has several years of prior RN experience
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) – must be obtained within 30 days of employment
