Summary: The Registered Nurse delivers competent and compassionate care while demonstrating a deep understanding of clinical practice. As a key player in patient care, you will manage both routine and complex cases, set long-term goals, and navigate the contingencies that arise in clinical nursing. You will also be responsible for delegating tasks and assignments to other care providers to ensure optimal patient care. Responsibilities: • Exceed the expectations outlined in the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. • Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for all assigned patients. • Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families, adapting your approach based on your level of expertise. • Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, monitoring for effects and side effects of all interventions. • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care rendered accurately and promptly. • Assess the learning needs of patients and their families, providing education, identifying issues, and supplying resources as necessary. Job Requirements: Education/Skills: • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred. Experience: • At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. • Must hold an RN License in the state of employment or possess a compact license.
