
Full-Time Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Oberlin, LA
Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where you will provide exceptional care to our tiniest patients. As a skilled nurse, you will work independently and be aware of all aspects of your patients' care, ensuring their needs are met through both routine and complex procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Exhibit strong leadership qualities according to the OneCHRISTUS Competencies.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care by following the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address the emotional, psychological, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document all aspects of patient care, including history and treatment.
• Assess and educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding care needs and available resources.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in the specialty area is preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:
• BLS certification required.
• Current RN License in the state of employment or compact license.
• Current STABLE certification (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants) required.
• Current NRP certification required.
Position Requirements:
• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days.
• New hires will receive hands-on training from designated staff members and will complete necessary competency validation.
• Completion of annual competency verification requirements is necessary.
• Preferred experience includes Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in a Perinatal Setting.
Credential Grace Periods:
