
Full-Time Registered Nurse - RCU in Gilliam, LA
Job Description
Are you a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse looking for a fulfilling opportunity? As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide both routine and complex nursing care while contributing to the overall well-being of patients in the RCU setting.
Responsibilities:
• Exhibit the competencies expected within our organization: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care by applying the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for your assigned patients.
• Cater to the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols, closely monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess the learning needs of patients, families, and caregivers while providing necessary education and resources.
Job Requirements:
• Education/Skills: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: Preferably 1 year in related nursing specialty.
• Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications; valid RN License in the state of employment or compact.
Additional Information:
• Newly hired RNs are required to attend orientation within the first 30 days and undergo precepting with a trained staff member.
• All new graduates may participate in a residency program for further training.
• Completion of annual competency verification is necessary.
Work Schedule: 7AM - 7PM | Work Type: Full Time
