Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) - Assisted Living in Astoria, OR

Description Clatsop Care Retirement Village is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Assisted Living/Residential Care Facility in beautiful Astoria, OR. The RN will be employed full-time and is directly responsible to the Administrator for the ethical, professional, and adequate delivery of health and wellness services to residents. Additionally, the RN will facilitate and coordinate all health and wellness services educational requirements in accordance with State and Federal licensure for Assisted Living. Skills • Effective communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to manage and supervise employees • Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities • Capacity to develop and implement new theories, techniques, and principles • Patience and compassion when working with residents Responsibilities • Provide assisted living level of care, working 40 hours per week, and be on-call for emergencies/staff consultations • Participate in the development and implementation of facility policies affecting healthcare services • Delegate nursing tasks in accordance with Oregon State Board of Nursing rules • Oversee medications and treatments as per Physician Orders • Collaborate with the RSC for pharmacy recommendations and resident care • Facilitate educational programs per licensure and facility needs • Participate in hiring, coaching, and supervising Team Leaders • Conduct assessments to ensure residents receive appropriate care • Maintain compliance with health services staff requirements Qualifications • Graduate of an accredited nursing education program • Current registration in the state of Oregon • One year of experience in an extended care or assisted living facility desired • Good mental and physical health with sound judgment • Ability to work with the aged and those with limited self-care capacity Education Requirements • Graduate from an accredited nursing program Education Requirements Credential Category • Nursing Degree Experience Requirements • One year experience in an extended care or assisted living facility preferred Why work in Astoria, OR Astoria, OR offers a stunning coastal landscape, rich history, and a close-knit community atmosphere.
