General Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in assessing human responses and delivering comprehensive nursing care for individuals and families. As an RN, you are accountable for the quality of care provided to patients.
Essential Responsibilities
• Lead in a professional practice setting, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Assist team members in their development through mentorship and support.
• Delegate tasks based on patient needs and the skill levels of LPNs and support staff.
• Ensure a safe care environment, considering patient condition and intervention complexity.
• Provide constructive feedback to peers to enhance clinical practice.

• Cultivate an environment where accountability and open dialogue about mistakes enhance patient safety.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team evaluations to enhance clinical care.

• Supervise, delegate, and evaluate LPN practice appropriately.
• Implement the nursing process in developing and assessing patient care plans.
• Analyze patient health data, advocating for their needs in collaboration with healthcare providers.

• Be adaptable by accepting assignments outside your primary unit within your competencies.

Qualifications
Minimum
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
• CPR certification
Preferred
• Certification in a relevant specialty
