Job Summary and Qualifications

The HCA Nurse Residency Program equips you with essential tools for success in today’s healthcare setting. This paid program will facilitate your transition from academic learning to real-world application through:
• Advanced clinical training in specialized areas.
• Monthly educational sessions.
• Preceptorship with an experienced facility preceptor.
• Hands-on simulation evaluations of your skills.
• Mentorship from respected nursing leaders.
• Collaborative work on an evidence-based practice project.

As an RN Resident, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with departmental standards and practices. Collaborating with medical providers and care teams, you will provide individualized, compassionate care using nursing models like Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.

Your Role Responsibilities:
• Assess patient conditions upon admission and during scheduled shifts.
• Perform expected procedures and monitor patient responses as per provider orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitoring for therapeutic responses and acting accordingly.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and proactively address their concerns.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-ups.

Required Qualifications:
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year.
• Completion of an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse License or eligibility as a Graduate Nurse in the state.
• No prior nursing experience is necessary.
• Some travel for training may be required.
