Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Hospice Nurse, based in Kirksville, MO. The Hospice Nurse will provide compassionate and professional care for patients requiring palliative and end-of-life care. Responsibilities include administering medications, managing pain and symptoms, conducting health assessments, coordinating care plans, and offering support to patients and families. The role also involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, maintaining detailed patient records, and ensuring adherence to hospice care standards and regulations.
Qualifications
• Expertise in Nursing, Direct Patient Care, and Home Care settings
• Knowledge and experience in Medicine and Palliative Care practices
• Ability to demonstrate empathy, effective communication, and interpersonal skills
• Valid state nursing license and current certifications, such as Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Experience in hospice or end-of-life care is highly preferred
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and working within a team environment
