Responsibilities:

As a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN), you will work at both the Kaseman IPU and the Robert Wertheim Hospice House. Your role will ensure that end-of-life care meets quality and utilization guidelines while achieving the best clinical outcomes for our patients and their families. Your responsibilities will include:
• Conducting thorough assessments of patients' physical, mental, and spiritual needs.
• Providing skilled nursing care by coordinating and documenting care plans in alignment with physician/APC instructions.
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and caregivers to meet care needs.
• Evaluating and adjusting interventions based on patient responses.
• Documenting care accurately and in a timely manner to comply with agency policies.
• Mentoring and precepting new nurses and students, serving as a professional role model.
• Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and maintaining high clinical standards of practice.
Qualifications:
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Current State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
• BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.
• Preferred: One (1) year of acute care experience within the last three (3) years.
