Speech-Language Pathologist Job Details
• Location: Portsmouth, NH 03801 (New Hampshire healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Hospital - Acute Care (Speech Therapy Department)
• Assignment Type: Travel SLP position
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• End Date: March 23, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift Duration: 8 Hour Days
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1580-$1700 per week
• On-Site Position
Speech-Language Pathologist Qualifications
• Current CCC-SLP certification (Speech-Language Pathologist, ASHA certified)
• Active New Hampshire SLP license or eligibility (NH SLP jobs)
• BLS certification required
• Competency with Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
• Strong bedside swallow assessment skills
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute hospital setting preferred
• Excellent communication and flexibility
• Experience with Meditec Expanse documentation system a plus
• FEES experience desirable but not required
Speech Therapist Responsibilities
• Deliver speech therapy services to a caseload of 15-36 patients, depending on complexity
• Conduct bedside swallow assessments and evaluations
• Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
• Work with patients in ICU, trauma, neuro, and emergency department settings
• Collaborate with other SLPs and the broader rehab healthcare team
• Document all patient care using Meditec Expanse
• Participate in cognitive assessments and trach management as needed
• Maintain high standards of patient care and contribute to a positive team environment
