Travel Surgical Technologist Job Details • Assignment Type: Travel Contract • Location: Lynchburg, Virginia (24501) - Virginia healthcare jobs • Setting: Hospital Operating Room - CVOR (Open Heart Surgery) • Duration: 13 weeks (2/23/2026 - 5/23/2026) • Shift: 8-hour Day Shifts (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM) • Hours per Week: 40 • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2260 - $2430 • Weekend/Call: Up to 3 calls per weekday and 2-3 weekends per month; weekend shifts include call and working shifts • Start Dates: Orientation every other Monday (2/23, 3/9) Surgical Technologist Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of recent Open Heart CVOR Surgical Tech experience in a hospital setting • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required • Active Virginia Surgical Technologist license (or ability to obtain before start; allow 4-6 weeks for processing) • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required • COVID-19 and Flu vaccination or approved declination required • Prior travel surgical tech experience required • No local travelers within 60 miles accepted Surgical Tech Responsibilities • Assist in open heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures in the CVOR • Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments in the operating room • Support surgeons and the surgical team with instruments and supplies during procedures • Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control policies • Participate in on-call rotation and weekend coverage as scheduled • Complete all required documentation and credentialing prior to assignment start Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Certified Surgical Technologist in Lynchburg, Virginia.
