ICU Cardiovascular Registered Nurse - Full Time in Belcher, LA

Job Summary:

Join our dedicated team as an ICU Cardiovascular Registered Nurse, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a qualified nurse, you will work independently and actively contribute to patient assessments, diagnoses, and comprehensive care planning. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards, using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for your assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment efficacy.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided meticulously.
• Assess learning needs and provide education for patients, families, and caregivers, identifying key issues and resources.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• One year of experience in a critical care setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Active RN License in the state of employment or through compact licensing.
• Current ACLS certification is required.

Orientation and Competency:

Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire and will receive preceptorship from a designated trained staff member. Initial onboarding completion will be validated through designated organizational competency verification.

Work Schedule: 7PM - 7AM
