POSITION SUMMARY:
As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care. You will coordinate care by collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring timely and precise communication regarding patients' clinical conditions. You must respond promptly to changes in patients' status and treatment responses. Your understanding of growth and development principles will allow you to provide age-appropriate care to our diverse patient population. We encourage you to promote nursing as a profession through supportive interactions with your colleagues. This position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Qualifications
• EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification during the new employee introductory orientation period, maintaining clinical competency in this role.
COMPETENCIES:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
• Basic computer skills are required.
