RN - ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Location : On-site Rochester NY Employment Type : Full-Time Schedule : Day and Night Rotations • 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM • 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM • Includes weekends and holidays Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced critical care environment. This role is ideal for an experienced critical care nurse who thrives in high-acuity settings and demonstrates strong clinical judgment professionalism and a patient-centered approach. The ICU RN will deliver safe evidence-based care to pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric patients while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with established clinical protocols • Continuously assess patient conditions interpret clinical data and respond appropriately to rapidly changing situations • Administer medications manage life-sustaining equipment and monitor complex patient conditions • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) • Demonstrate strict adherence to patient confidentiality and regulatory standards • Support a collaborative team environment through effective communication and professional role modeling • Provide age-appropriate care based on principles of growth and development across the lifespan • Promote patient safety dignity respect and overall well-being Required Qualifications Licensure • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license Certifications (Required) • BLS • ACLS • PALS • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) • Certifications must be obtained through AHA or RQI • Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire • CPI certification within 90 days of hire Core Competencies • Strong critical thinking prioritization and time management skills • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-acuity environment • Demonstrated professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information • Computer literacy required Preferred Qualifications • Emergency Nursing or Critical Care specialty certification within 2 years of hire • TNCC within 2 years of hire • Experience with Microsoft Office applications • Experience using electronic medical record systems Patient-Centered Care Focus This role requires a demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care principles including professionalism effective communication and attention to the healing environment.
