Responsibilities • Deliver comprehensive nursing care in an intensive care setting focused on cardiac and vascular patients • Monitor and manage patients with STEMI, hypertension crisis, chest pain, CABG recoveries, and vascular surgeries • Utilize critical care procedures including TEE, bedside bronchoscopies, TTM, and ECMO support • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes • Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner electronic health records • Float as needed across critical care units to support varied patient needs • Adhere to established protocols and safety standards to maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 or 1:1 to 3:1 depending on patient acuity Qualifications • Current RN license with ICU or critical care nursing experience • BLS and ACLS certification required • Proficiency in treating patients with cardiac and vascular critical care diagnoses • Experience with advanced procedures such as TEE and ECMO highly desirable • Strong clinical judgment and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment Schedule & Details • 12-hour shifts, primarily 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM • 36 hours per week, every other weekend required • Contract position with flexibility to float as needed This role is ideal for experienced ICU RNs seeking a challenging contract position within a supportive and cutting-edge healthcare environment.
