ICU RN - Jamestown, North Dakota in Bloom, ND

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide specialized nursing care in a dynamic ICU setting, utilizing your expertise to support patients of all ages. This full-time contract opportunity in Jamestown, ND offers a 12-hour day/night rotating shift schedule, averaging 72 hours per two-week pay period, including weekends. Adaptability is essential as hours and days may vary.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Perform telemetry monitoring, dressing changes, ventilator and BIPAP management, and initiate IV starts.
• Utilize advanced equipment including Epic electronic charting, Omnicell medication systems, Liko and EZ lifts, Alaris IV pumps, and Nova Statstrip blood glucose monitors.
• Provide patient and family education to uphold professional nursing standards.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Active North Dakota or compact RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Minimum one year of ICU nursing experience.
• Proficient in cardiac medication management and cardiac rhythm analysis.
• Experience caring for patients on BIPAP therapy.
• Completion of a basic cardiology course for nurses is required.

Shift Details:
• 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation.
• Work schedule includes Sundays through Saturdays with variability.
• No floating to other units.
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1:1 to 1:3 based on census.

Unit Overview:Work within a 23-bed Med/Surg/ICU unit with black scrubs as the dress code. Orientation includes one week of hospital and department-specific training to ensure a smooth transition.
