Deliver critical care in a dynamic ICU setting supporting patients with diverse needs including general ICU, stroke, COVID-19, medical, surgical, behavioral health, and overdose cases. This contract nursing opportunity in Sheboygan Falls, WI, offers a fulfilling environment in a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center equipped with 101 beds and specialized resources. Key Responsibilities: • Provide skilled nursing care to lower acuity ICU patients, adhering to appropriate patient-to-nurse ratios (1:2-3, days and nights). • Perform strip and ventilator interpretation, manage chest tubes, tracheostomies, and lines, and assist with proning procedures. • Utilize bedside and nursing station telemonitoring systems; no tele tech support in the ICU. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including CNAs, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and therapy staff to deliver comprehensive patient care. • Maintain documentation using EPIC, and manage medication administration with Alaris and Pyxis systems. • Float comfortably to Cardiac and Stepdown units as required. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Valid RN license with a minimum of 3 years of ICU nursing experience. • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. • Proficiency in critical care patient management and monitoring equipment. • Experience in telemonitoring, line management, and proning techniques. • Ability to adapt to varied scheduling including weekend rotations, variable on-call hours, and holiday coverage.
