Job Description
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Valid Rhode Island RN License
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Proven experience in ICU nursing
Schedule and Work Environment:
• 36 or 48-hour night shifts
• Nurses are assigned to a home unit, with staffing evaluated every four hours
• May be required to float up to three times per shift; travelers float first according to union contract
• Union hospital setting ensures structured protocols and support
Responsibilities:
• Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor patient conditions, administer treatments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
• Adapt to periodic floating assignments within the hospital as required by staffing needs
