ICU RN/Registered Nurse in Orem, UT

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A challenging opportunity exists for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide critical care nursing within a renowned healthcare environment in Utah. This contract-based role serves a 24-bed Intensive Care Unit dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care with a focus on complex cases requiring advanced clinical skills. Responsibilities include comprehensive ICU nursing duties such as managing ventilators, administering vasopressors, conducting central line placements, rapid sequence intubations, arterial line placements, bronchoscopy assistance, chest tube care, and patient monitoring. Nurses will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to maintain optimal patient outcomes, ensure accurate documentation using EPIC, and adhere to unit protocols. Flexibility to float to the Progressive Care Unit or serve as a sitter within the hospital is expected. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience; strong 1-year ICU experience may be considered Current RN licensure in good standing Advanced certifications such as ACLS required Proficiency with critical care procedures including central lines, ventilator management, arterial lines, and intubation Ability to work effectively within a high-acuity, fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset This contract position offers a structured schedule with options for straight night shifts or a 50/50 mix of day and night. Weekend coverage includes 3 shifts during a 4-week period. The dress code requires Caribbean Blue scrubs. Documentation is maintained using EPIC software, and the unit benefits from dedicated staffing support including secretaries and critical care technicians during day shifts.
