
ICU RN/Registered Nurse Georgia in Warner Robins, GA
Job Description
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience required.

A critical care nursing opportunity is available in Warner Robins, GA, specializing in intensive care for adult patients within a Level 1 Trauma Designated teaching hospital.
This contract position focuses on delivering expert care in a 14-bed Medical ICU unit, managing complex cases including respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, and other critical diagnoses.
Nurses will provide care for patients requiring invasive monitoring and ventilator support while working alongside a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
Manage hemodynamically unstable patients, including those with invasive arterial lines, central venous lines, and intracranial pressure monitors.
Administer and titrate vasoactive medications and drips such as insulin and heparin.
Provide tracheostomy and chest tube care, assist in bedside procedures like peg tube placement, and manage chronic ventilator patients.
Collaborate closely with CNAs, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists to ensure holistic patient care.
Utilize advanced technology including EPIC EMR, Philips monitors, and specialized equipment such as TABLO and Belmont Rapid Infuser.
Maintain thorough patient documentation and participate in unit-based orientation and education programs.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
Current RN licensure with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; CCRN preferred.
Skilled in PIV starts, glucose management, insulin and vasoactive medication drips.
Experience with invasive line monitoring and bedside ICU procedures.
Ability to function effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment.
