ICU Stepdown RN Florida
Employment Type: Full-Time | Schedule: Days or Nights, 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends | Pay: $31.86 to $46.28/hr depending on experience + $4.50 night / $1.50 weekend shift differential | Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 day / $20,000 night (subject to Q3 review) | Relocation: Case by case
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate ICU Stepdown RN to provide care for patients requiring close monitoring, complex interventions, and frequent assessments. Join a collaborative team in a true stepdown unit caring for patients on drips and long-term ventilators, with opportunities for professional growth and hands-on experience in critical care.
Responsibilities
• Collect comprehensive patient data and perform clinical assessments.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Apply clinical judgment to manage safe and effective patient care.
• Monitor critical vital signs and intervene in life-threatening situations.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, procedures, and treatments.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient condition and interventions.
Qualifications
Required
• Minimum 1 year recent ICU Stepdown RN experience. Consideration given to candidates with 3 years Cardiac PCU or Multisystem PCU experience.
• Florida RN license or compact multistate RN license (Florida license must be obtained within 60 days if relocating).
• RN Diploma or Associate Degree (BSN preferred).
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of hire.
• BCLS certification or BCLS Instructor within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
Preferred
• Experience caring for patients on drips and long-term ventilators.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork focus.
Compensation & Benefits
• Hourly rates: $31.86-$36.12 (5 years experience), $40.44 (10 years), $46.28 (17+ years)
• Shift differentials: Nights $4.50/hr | Weekends $1.50/hr
• Sign-on bonus: $15,000 (Day), $20,000 (Night)
