Inpatient Oncology Registered Nurse in Hernandez, NM

Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: • Education: Graduated from an accredited program for Registered Nursing. • Certification/Licenses: Hold a current RN license from New Mexico or a Compact state license. BLS certification is required or must be obtained within 2 weeks of hire. Other required certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Those with certifications at the time of hire must maintain them without a grace period for renewal. (See the Required Department Certification List for details.) Skills: • Possess current knowledge and skills pertinent to the age/type of the patient population served. • Understand and advocate for patients' rights in delivering care. • Communicate effectively, tailoring your message to the developmental age of the patient. Experience: Nature of Supervision: Report directly to the Patient Care Director or Manager. Environment: • Work may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases. • Maintain a clean, well-lit, ventilated, and smoke-free work environment. Physical Requirements: This role requires the ability to handle emergencies and crisis situations effectively. You will be expected to stand and walk for extended periods, possess strength to position or transfer patients and equipment, and perform various physical tasks, including reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching. You should have normal or correctable hearing and vision acuity, along with necessary manual dexterity and coordination.
