
Inpatient Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN in Agua Fria, NM

Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
Certification/Licenses: Current RN license in New Mexico or a current Compact state license is required. BLS Certification is required or must be obtained within two weeks of hire. Additional required certifications should be obtained within six months of hire. Nurses holding valid certifications at the time of hire are expected to maintain them without a grace period for renewal.
Skills:
• Up-to-date knowledge and skills relevant to the patient population served.
• Understanding and respect for patients' rights in care delivery.
• Clear and concise communication tailored to the developmental age of patients.
Experience: Relevant nursing experience is preferred.
Nature of Supervision:
Reports to the Patient Care Director or Manager.
Environment:
• Exposure to Bloodborne pathogen C (Operating Room, PACU, Labor & Delivery); and Bloodborne pathogen B (other patient care areas).
• Risk of exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays.
Our nurses work in a clean, well-lit, and well-ventilated smoke-free environment. While the work environment can be demanding, we pride ourselves on maintaining professional relationships. Flexibility in working hours is required due to potential schedule changes and emergencies.
Physical Requirements: Ability to manage emergency situations, with prolonged standing and walking. The role requires substantial physical efforts including positioning, pushing, or transferring patients and equipment. Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching are also necessary. Good vision (correctable) and hearing, along with manual dexterity and fine motor skills, are essential.
