Your role will focus on prioritizing nursing care using time and resources effectively within a standards-based framework. Type of Opportunity: Part-time FTE: 0.6 Job Exempt: No Work Shift: 12 Hour Nights (United States of America) Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care through thorough assessments, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of patient needs and responses. • Coordinate care in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team. • Perform patient assessments according to unit standards and maintain accurate documentation. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with policies. • Identify and meet patient and family educational needs from admission to discharge. • Evaluate patient progress towards outcomes and document through established systems. • Act competently in emergency situations and delegate tasks to team members based on their competencies. • Supervise LPNs and non-licensed personnel while providing leadership and support to the team. • Assist in patient procedures, treatments, and surgery while facilitating new staff orientation. • Meet professional requirements including in-service training, performance standards, and safety policies. Qualifications: Licensure: Must possess a State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse Permit. Academic Preparation: Degree from an accredited nursing program (ADN minimum; BSN expected within 5 years of hire).
