Work Shift: 12 Hour Nights (United States of America)
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient needs and responses.
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Perform assessments according to unit standards and maintain accurate documentation.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to policies and protocols.
• Identify and address patient and family educational needs throughout care.
• Evaluate patient progress and document findings appropriately.
• Act competently in emergency situations.
• Delegate patient care tasks to qualified healthcare team members.
• Assume clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed personnel.
• Assist in surgical procedures and treatment techniques as required.
• Facilitate orientation and serve as a professional role model.
• Participate in departmental governance, maintaining positive communication and relationships.
• Complete mandatory training, competencies, and professional requirements on time.
Qualifications:
• Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse Permit required.
• Academic Preparation: Degree from an accredited nursing program, minimum ADN with a commitment to complete a BSN within 5 years of hire.
