Highly skilled registered nurses with critical care expertise are sought to provide exceptional care in an intensive care unit setting. Position Type: Contract – offering flexibility and exposure to a high-acuity patient population. Schedule/Hours: • 12-hour day shifts • 36 hours per week • Every other weekend worked • Float assignments as needed within critical care specialties Key Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ICU, focusing on cardiovascular and critical care cases such as STEMI, hypertensive crises, and post-operative CABG or vascular surgeries • Utilize advanced clinical skills including TEE, bedside bronchoscopy, targeted temperature management, and ECMO support • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner electronic medical records • Ensure patient safety and comfort by adhering to established protocols and monitoring nurse-to-patient ratios of 2:1 or as appropriate • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Qualifications and Experience: • Active RN license with ICU experience required • Current BLS and ACLS certifications • Proficiency in managing complex cardiac patients and critical care interventions • Experience with critical care charting systems preferred • Ability to adapt to floating across various critical care units Benefits and Perks: • Opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art medical center with a focus on advanced cardiovascular care • Supportive work environment with experienced clinical teams • Flexible contract schedule offering work-life balance This contract opportunity is an excellent way to deepen your critical care expertise while working in a dynamic clinical setting.
