Job Description
An opportunity is available for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide skilled nursing care in a fast-paced intensive care unit. This contract position begins mid-January and runs for approximately 26 weeks, requiring a commitment to a full schedule through early February with weekend availability. Flexibility to float as needed throughout the unit is essential.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and operate advanced medical equipment
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Support unit operations by floating to other areas as necessary
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current RN license with verified eligibility to practice in Nevada
• Experience in intensive care nursing strongly preferred
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP as required
• Up-to-date immunization records including MMR, Varicella, and negative TB test or documented vaccination declination
• Ability to comply with drug screening and background checks promptly
• Willingness to work 12-hour dayshifts, including weekends
• Ability to commit to the assignment timeline with flexibility to float
