Intensive Care RN | Cranston, Rhode Island in Cranston, RI

Deliver critical care as an experienced ICU Registered Nurse at a leading hospital in Cranston, Rhode Island. This contract opportunity spans 13 weeks and requires advanced clinical skills in intensive care nursing to provide exceptional patient support during the night shift.

Key Qualifications:
• Valid Rhode Island RN license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Proven experience in ICU nursing, demonstrating proficiency in critical care procedures and patient monitoring

Schedule:
• 36/48 hour night shifts
• Nurse will be assigned a designated home unit
• Staffing levels re-evaluated every 4 hours
• May be floated up to three times per shift; as this is a union hospital, travelers are prioritized for floating assignments

Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct patient care for critically ill adults in the ICU setting
• Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond to emergent situations promptly
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and union regulations, especially concerning floating procedures
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing assessments and interventions
