A dynamic ICU nursing opportunity is available in Marrero, LA, for experienced Registered Nurses with critical care expertise. This contract role offers the chance to deliver specialized care in a fast-paced ICU environment with a skilled, multidisciplinary team. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years of ICU experience, including familiarity with electronic health records through Epic systems. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care in a high-acuity setting with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, occasionally shifting to 1:3 to meet patient needs. Nurses are expected to float across various intensive care units and support critical care in the emergency and post-anesthesia care units as required. Additional duties encompass performing lab draws, EKGs, and line insertions. Proficiency with advanced medical equipment, such as Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA pumps, Servo I ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors, is essential. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Registered Nurse (RN) license with ICU experience (minimum 2 years) • Epic electronic medical record experience • Current ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIH certifications (CPI certification available onsite) • Skilled in critical care nursing procedures, including isolation protocols and N95 mask use • Flexibility to work night shifts and float among units as needed Schedule and Shift Details: • Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) • Four weekend shifts required every four weeks • No on-call responsibilities • Return to Office (RTO) limited to 5 days total Located in Marrero, LA, this facility offers a supportive environment renowned for comprehensive patient care and advanced technology.
