Job Description
A registered nurse with specialized skills in intensive care is needed for a contract position in Newport, NH. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care in a Level III trauma intensive care unit with a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics. The position supports a 2:1 patient-to-RN ratio in a 10-bed unit, ensuring focused and comprehensive care.
Desired Qualifications:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in ICU nursing across a broad age range
• Ability to work independently within a fast-paced, trauma-level setting
• Compliance with New Hampshire Temporary Health Care Service Agency License and Registration requirements (mandatory for consideration)
• No requests for schedule accommodations such as block scheduling
Responsibilities:
• Deliver intensive nursing care to critically ill patients
• Monitor patient conditions and implement treatment plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Adhere to protocols specific to Level III trauma care
• Manage patient documentation and communicate with families as needed
Contract Details:
• Location: Newport, NH (please note local travelers residing within 50 miles are not eligible)
• Contract type: Temporary assignment with a limit on requested time off (up to 5 days max, to be approved upfront)
• Orientation: No non-billable orientation required
